PONCE, Puerto Rico.- Puerto Rican hurdler Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, Olympic champion of the 100mv in Tokyo 2020, will have the last turn on the competition day on May 12, during the first edition of the Puerto Rico International Athletics Classic at the Francisco “Paquito” Montaner Stadium in Ciudad Señorial.

Camacho-Quinn gold medalist in the 100-meter hurdles will be running at 7:54 p.m. in front of her audience at the final race of the star-studded event schedule. With the test, the Puerto Rican will close the day and the live broadcast that will air on ESPN2 from 6:00 p.m.

The Puerto Rican hurdler will have a tough competition on the track alongside the American Nia Ali, world champion of the 100mv in Doha, Qatar (2019), two-time world indoor champion and silver medalist in Rio 2016. Olympic Christina will also be in that race Clemons, from the United States, silver (60mv) at the World Indoor Championships in Athletics in 2018; and the American Sharika Nelvis, who holds the United States and NACAC indoor track record in the 60mv with 7.70.

The program of events will begin at the new "Paquito" Montaner track from 4:30 p.m. with male high jump, in which the Puerto Rican Olympic Luis Joel Castro will be.

The competition is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour – Silver Level, and is dedicated to the Olympian Javier Culson from Ponce.

Tickets are on sale now and cost $30 for box seats and $20 for general admission. Both prices include the IVU and service charges. The box area to be sold for this event will be sections 20 to 40 on the 100m straight. Buy tickets here:
