THE YOUNG ATHLETES SHINED ON THE MONTANER TRACK

Ponce, Puerto Rico.- The Puerto Rico International Athletics Classic, held today, Thursday, at the Francisco “Paquito” Montaner Stadium in Ciudad Señorial, included four events involving local youth athletes.
The student athletes shone on the new Montaner track to proudly represent the colors of their schools and clubs
In the women's 4x100 meter relay, the FAPUR team won with a time of 46.32 seconds, followed by the Kno Team with a time of 48.60 and the third position for St. Francis with a time of 49.49 seconds.
While, in the men's edition of the men's 4x100 meters, the Luis Muñoz Marín de Barranquitas School won the gold with a time of 43.74 seconds, the Olympic Hostel came second with 43.93 and the Josefina León Zayas School of Jayuya, third, with 44.08 seconds.
In the women's 4x400 meter test, the Kno Team club won with a time of 3:57.57 minutes, the silver went to St. Francis de Carolina with 4:00.03, and the Occupational Technical School of Yauco with 4:06.74.
And in the 4x400 masculine school meters, the Luis Muñoz Marín de Barranquista School won with a time of 3:21.35 minutes, the Olympic Hostel came second with 3:28.89; and the Josefina León Zayas School in Jayuya, third, with 3:31.21 minutes.
The Secretary of the Department of Recreation and Sports (DRD), Ray Quiñones, was in charge of awarding the school relays.
