TICKET SALE BEGINS TODAY FOR THE PUERTO RICO INTERNATIONAL ATHLETICS CLASSIC

PONCE, Puerto Rico.- Tickets for the first edition of the Puerto Rico International Athletics Classic are now on sale at Ticketera, where you can buy tickets for the event that will bring together multiple Olympic champions on the new track of the renovated Francisco Stadium. The event will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. and will feature big stars including the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion, Puerto Rican Jasmine Camacho-Quinn in the 100m hurdles.
Tickets are $30 for box seats and $20 for general admission. Both prices include the IVU and service charges. The box area that will be sold for this athletics event will be sections 20 to 40 on the 100 meter straight. The competition, which is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour – Silver Level, is dedicated to Olympic athlete Javier Culson de Ponce.
In addition to Camacho Quinn, the American Ryan Crouser, Olympic champion (Tokyo 2021) and holder of the shot put world record, also confirmed their participation in the Classic; Steve Gardiner, from the Bahamas, Olympic champion of the 400 meters (Tokyo 2021) and world champion of that event in 2019; and two-time triple jump medalist Christian Taylor Sweet (United States).
In the group of about 100 athletes that will compete in Ponce, the Olympians Wesley Vázquez (800m), Ryan Sánchez (800m) and Andrés Arroyo (800m) will also be defending the Puerto Rican colors.
